Drawing the Data
On the craft of seeing numbers clearly. Published charts reconstructed, critiqued, and redesigned — uncovering the story the data is trying to tell.
Data · Engineering · Ideas
Semiconductor engineer turned data practitioner. I work at the intersection of engineering, data, and clear thinking — and occasionally write about what I find there.
Selected Work

On the craft of seeing numbers clearly. Published charts reconstructed, critiqued, and redesigned — uncovering the story the data is trying to tell.

Extracting real signals from public astronomical data — TESS, Kepler, Gaia, and the techniques that transfer to every other kind of data work.

Notes from building small, useful things. The tools matter — the habit of building them matters more.
The Human
I'm Arnab — I've spent years working in semiconductor manufacturing and product development, where I learned that the most important skill isn't knowing the answers, it's knowing which questions to ask.
Now I work at the intersection of data and engineering, building systems that help people understand complex processes. The same statistical thinking that works on industrial data turns out to work beautifully on public data too — astronomical surveys, civic datasets, sports archives, anything with a story buried in it. So I've started writing about what I find. This site is where that work lives. Welcome.
